Minutes of Meeting (MOM)

The formal record of what was decided at a meeting, who owns each action, and by when. Circulated for comment and, absent objection, treated as agreed — which is what makes them quietly powerful.

Minutes are a contractual instrument that most projects treat as an administrative courtesy. Issued, uncorrected and unchallenged, they become the accepted account of what was agreed — and they will be read out later by whoever benefits from them.

Which cuts both ways, and the practical discipline follows: read the minutes you receive, and object in writing, promptly, to anything you disagree with. Silence is agreement, and “we did not really accept that” is not a position anybody has ever won with.
